High-Efficiency Brain Power
Unlike traditional control valves, Quantum makes the leap to add rich features to make use and automation easy.
During a regeneration cycle, the softener will allow unsoftened water to flow to your home if needed.
With upflow brining, the brine (salt water) flows through the softener from the bottom to the top, which is the opposite direction of service flow (counter-current). In general, upflow brining softener systems are more brine efficient than downflow systems.
This control valve’s battery is self-charged to keeps your programming, date and the time current for over 48 hours. The control program softener settings will remain intact if the permanent memory.

What is Upflow Regeneration & Why is it SO Important?
Quantum Water Treatment uses it’s new upflow regen efficiency to drive hardness minerals up through the resin media. This double action saves both salt usage and better conserves utilizes resin media.
The traditional “downflow” softeners lack these efficiencies = wastes more salt and resin media capacity.

- Upflow regeneration allows for a more precise recharge of the resin allowing the system to only recharge the depleted resin.
